I love spearmint
Anybody know a good recipe using spearmint leaves?
Rabia's Fantastic Chutney
40 servings 11 min 10 min prep
4 cups fresh cilantro
1/2 cup spearmint
2 medium tomatoes
4 jalapenos (to taste)
5 ounces tamarind paste
6 garlic cloves
1 onion
3 whole dried red chilies (optional)
Blend all until liquid.
I freeze this in little cups so we have it on hand all the time.
Reply:They are excellent with peas.
Add a few when boiling or steaming, and stir in a few more when the peas are cooked.
Drain boiled peas first and the heat from the peas will heat the oils in the leaves.
Have been told you should tear the leaves, not cut them. If you like them like me use them whole,
I can't tell the difference
Add them to whatever you fancy and you might surprise yourself with a new unusual taste experience
Go for it
Reply:they make a good tea- serve it hot or iced
Reply:mint juleps.

Reply:Make a simple syrup
using sugar and water heat slowly in a sauce pan muddle in leaves and then you have a spearmint infused syrup to make mojitos, pour on fruit salads, serve with ice cream and chocolate sauce, pour in your tea, serve with cheesecake
Reply:Mojitos. Pasta with spearmint, roasted butternut squash and Parmesan.
Reply:My mother has spearmint growing in her yard, we'll pick some leaves and steep them in hot water for tea. It's really good, and simple.
