Hi. Does anyone know how to dry and preserve fresh spearmint? Thanks!!?

Dry them completely by tying the stems of a bunch of them together then hanging them from the ceiling of a dry area. Once completely dried, they can be stored in a sealed container.

I grow six varieties of mint. You can tie them up in bunches in a cool dark place for a week-preserves well, you can put them in the lowest setting on your oven in one layer for a few hours with the door slightly ajar, you can do it in the microwave, but I forgot how. I like to just lay them out on the counter in a single layer for a day or two and wait until theyre dry.

Most professional chefs like to freeze their herbs, works great. Dont wash them or freeze them wet. Be sure to gather them in the morning just after the dew dries to get the fullest flavor.
