Why did Wrigley's start putting aspartame in their chewing gum?

My wife is a gum addict. However when she consumes aspartame it blurs her vision. (no kidding) She switched from Doublemint To Spearmint. Now they have put the aspartame in Spearmint as well.

Why did Wrigley's start putting aspartame in their chewing gum?
ASPARTAME IS NOT SAFE THAT IS WHY IT HAS TO BE ON THE LABEL AND ESPECIALLY IN KIDS. SWITCH TO ONE THAT DOES NOT HAVE IT
Reply:I totally agree. Aspartme is a poison. They put it in b/c it remains sweet and they can advertise it as being "Sugar Free", which it is.

Your best choice is to find gum that uses Xylitol, it is a natural sweetner that has even been shown to reduce plaque and gingivitis
