Can you chew gum during pregnancy?
Why would chewing gum effect pregnancy? Some things are just common sense. Its a great way to make your belly calmer with morning sickness.

You can have early pregnancy symptoms just like PMS.
Reply:chewing gum is fine and peppermint is one of the things they say will help nausea. other good ones to try are lemon and ginger. Peppermint was the only thing that helped my nausea.
Reply:No. Not bad for baby, but chewing gum for anyone can usually produce excess gas! Also, if you chew a lot, sorbitol is actually a laxative and used to flavor a lot of sugarless gums, diet drinks ect. Hope this eases your mind. Also, morning sickness starts when it starts. Typically it is due to influx of hormone changes, so theoretically it can start as soon as conception. Some women are more sensitive than others to changes in the body. Hope this helps.

Reply:If you have Diabetes or are Gestational Diabetic you should get the Sugar Free Gum...other wise I have never heard of anything against pregnant ladies chewing gum!!!
Reply:Chewing gum should not affect a pregnancy.

It's possible for her to have morning sickness as early as a few days after she's pregnant, but if she's pregnant it would have most likely been in between her periods, so it would be more likely not to start untill at least a week before her period.
Reply:You can chew gum
Reply:yup should be ok. but u may have gas lol. you can have morning sickness anytime but it usually starts a around 6 weeks
Reply:I have "heard" that the aspartame in sugar free gum, or sweetners are bad for the fetus. But personally I dont think there is enough in a stick of gum to do much, if any harm to the baby. But if I were you, I would just ask my Dr.
Reply:You can chew gum while you are pregnant. As for your second question yes you can have morning sickness before you find out, thats how I found out i was pregnant.
Reply:you can chew your little heart out and not hurt the baby,,,, but you may get more gas from swallowing air so just watch that
Reply:Chewing gum is totally fine for the baby although it can keep your stomach acids churning for chewing sends signals to the stomach that food is on the way. Lol

Its a bit early for your sister to be getting morning sickness especially before she even knows she's pregnant. She's better off going to the local pharmacy for an over the counter test. They are pretty accurate nowadays.

Good Luck
Reply:of course you can chew gum and you could have morning sickness before your missed period and if she dosent miss her period shes got the flu
Reply:Chewing gum does not affect you baby.

2 weeks before your missed period is usually the time that you are ovulating, so generally you are not even pregnant yet.
Reply:sure you can there is no rule saying you cant.
