Is it unhealthy to regularly eat mints?

When I have nothing to do, I generally resolve it by eating. To stop myself eating endless amounts of fatty foods, I've now taken to actually eating little spearmints. A lot of them. Is this in any way unhealthy?

No I ate very strong peppermints for 2 years after I gave up smoking and they gave me no trouble . I have not smoked again and I gave up the peppermints about 43 years ago.
Reply:You would be surprised how much sugar they contain.
Reply:If the mints contains sorbitol, and you eat them like mad there may be side-effects such as diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, bloating, flatulence etc. Sorbitol is often sold as a laxitive. It is a form of 'sugar' naturally found in prunes. It's all got to do with Sorbital assisting the fermentation of bacteria in your stomach but let's not get technical. Basically eat them but don't go nuts.
