I grew spearmint and it's flourishing! What should I do with it now? Know any good uses or recipes?

Fresh mint uses:

sprigs in water

sprigs in lemonade

sprigs in tea

In brownies

In fruit cups

as decoration

Dried uses:

In homemade soap (makes you feel all tingly)

In homemade candles (as the wax melts the scent is released)

As Tea

scented sachets

Here is a site with interesting uses:

I dont know about the recipees but when the spearmint is blossoming I chop a bunch of the branches off and hang unside down to dry-I tie raffi or a nice ribbon around the top and hang on one of my walls through out the fall and winter season It lets me have a little of my garden in my house during the off season.
Reply:Mint tea is refreshing.

Homemade mint jelly goes so well with lamb.
Reply:Why did you start growing it in the first place?
Reply:There are some good alcholic drinks you can put that in...tastes very yummy. Look at some drink sites. I have no idea as far as food, but I'm sure there is some dessert that would be good with spearmint!
Reply:MAKE SOME CHUTNEY!!!

mmmmmmmm

A caution regarding spearmint: In flowerbeds, it is invasive and aggressive, with an extensive, far-reaching root system. Plant it in its own bed; it will return next spring. It is very difficult to eradicate; you can pull up armloads of it and if you leave a fragment of root in the soil, it's baaaack!

I grow spearmint in several locations (in its own bed) on my property. I pull it up frequently and let it restart; I put the plants in my garbage dumpster to mask the odors. Spearmint smells so good!
